When to see a doctor

Seek care if you notice any of the following

  • If you have severe abdominal pain that does not go away with medication, go to your nearest clinic or hospital immediately.
  • If you notice blood in your stool or vomit, go to your nearest clinic or hospital right away.
  • If you experience difficulty breathing or swallowing, go to your nearest clinic or hospital immediately.
  • If you have a fever that lasts for more than 3 days or is very high, go to your nearest clinic or hospital soon.
  • If you notice a large amount of worms or parasites in your stool, go to your nearest clinic or hospital as soon as possible.
