Orphenadrine citrate is a muscle relaxant that works by blocking pain signals and reducing muscle stiffness and spasms in your body. It also has a mild pain-relieving effect.
Blocks muscarinic cholinergic receptors and inhibits monoamine reuptake, reducing muscle hyperactivity and spasm while providing mild analgesic and sedative effects that promote muscle relaxation and pain relief.

Adults usually take one 100 mg tablet twice a day — one in the morning and one in the evening. You can take it with or without food, but taking it with food may help if it upsets your stomach. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. In Nigeria, you may find it as Norpiflex Tablet or Orphetab 100 mg Tablet.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule. Do not take two tablets at once to make up for it.
This drug can make you drowsy, so avoid driving or operating machines until you know how it affects you. Buy only from registered pharmacies — avoid roadside sellers or open market drug vendors, as fake muscle relaxants are common. Do not combine with alcohol or other drugs that make you sleepy without your doctor's advice.
Alcohol — drinking alcohol while taking orphenadrine can make you very drowsy and dizzy, so avoid it. Antihistamines like chlorpheniramine or promethazine — combining them can increase drowsiness and dry mouth. Other muscle relaxants or sedatives — taking them together can cause dangerous levels of drowsiness.
