Lisinopril is a blood pressure-lowering drug that works by relaxing your blood vessels so blood can flow more easily, reducing the strain on your heart.
Inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), preventing the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, thereby reducing vasoconstriction and aldosterone-mediated sodium retention. This leads to decreased blood pressure, reduced cardiac workload, and improved renal perfusion.

Take one tablet once a day, at the same time each day. You can take it with or without food. Your doctor will usually start you on a low dose (like 5 mg) and increase it gradually. Common Nigerian brands include Kaypril, Bazreal, Dostril, and Afrab Lisinopril — follow the dose your doctor prescribed for you.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule. Never take two tablets at once to make up for the one you missed.
