Who is this for?
This is a combination antibiotic and healing ointment that contains two antibiotics (zinc bacitracin and neomycin sulphate) to kill bacteria on the skin, plus zinc oxide which helps soothe, protect, and speed up healing of wounds and skin infections.
Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit (neomycin), disrupts bacterial cell wall integrity (bacitracin), and creates a physical barrier while promoting wound healing and moisture retention (zinc oxide).

Clean the affected area first, then apply a thin layer of the ointment (like Banedif Ointment) to the skin 2 to 3 times daily. You can cover with a clean bandage if needed. Do not use for more than 7 days unless your doctor tells you to.
If you forget to apply the ointment, just apply it as soon as you remember, then continue with your normal schedule. Do not apply double the amount to make up for the missed application.

Steroid creams can be used alongside but only if prescribed by your doctor.
