Adults usually start with 5–20 mg once daily by mouth in the morning. Your doctor may increase the dose depending on your condition, up to 200 mg daily for severe cases. Take it in the morning so you are not waking up at night to urinate. It can be taken with or without food, but take it the same way each day.
