Who is this for?
Tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride is an eye drop that works by narrowing the tiny blood vessels in your eyes, which reduces redness and makes your eyes look clearer and feel more comfortable.
Binds to alpha-1 adrenergic receptors on conjunctival and episcleral blood vessels, causing vasoconstriction and reducing hyperemia, conjunctival edema, and ocular irritation.

Put 1 to 2 drops into the affected eye(s) 2 to 3 times a day. Tilt your head back, pull down your lower eyelid gently, and squeeze the drop in. Try not to touch the tip of the bottle to your eye. Do not use it for more than 3 days in a row unless your doctor says so.
If you forget a dose, just put the drop in when you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double up by putting extra drops to make up for the one you missed.
Do not use Vitricine or similar eye drops for more than 3 days straight — overuse can actually make your red eyes worse (rebound redness). Make sure you buy from a reputable pharmacy, not roadside sellers, to avoid fake or expired products. If your eye redness does not improve within 2-3 days, see a doctor as it could be an infection that needs proper treatment.
Avoid using tetrahydrozoline if you are taking MAO inhibitor drugs (some medicines used for depression or mental health). If you are using other eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes between each type. Mention all your medications to your pharmacist before buying.

Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat. In Nigeria's hot climate, keep it in a cool, dry place — not inside a hot car or near a window. Keep the cap tightly closed after use and store away from children. Discard the bottle 4 weeks after opening.
