What is this drug?
This is a sterile fluid (commonly called Ringer's Lactate) given through a drip into your vein to replace lost body fluids, salts, and minerals. It works by restoring the balance of water and essential electrolytes (body salts like sodium, potassium, and calcium) that your body needs to function properly.
