What is this drug?

This is a combination of two medicines — Mifepristone and Misoprostol — that work together to end an early pregnancy. Mifepristone blocks the hormone progesterone that the pregnancy needs to continue, while Misoprostol causes the womb to contract and push out the pregnancy tissue.

What is it used for?

Medical termination of early pregnancy (usually up to 9 weeks or 63 days from the last menstrual period)
