Letrozole is a hormone-based drug that works by lowering the amount of estrogen (a female hormone) your body produces, which can slow or stop the growth of certain cancers that need estrogen to grow.
What is it used for?
Breast cancer in women who have passed menopausesometimes used off-label by doctors to help women who are having difficulty getting pregnant (fertility treatment)
