Dienogest

Take one 2 mg tablet once daily, at the same time every day, with or without food. You take it continuously — no breaks — regardless of whether you are bleeding or not. Swallow the tablet whole with water.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, then continue with the next tablet at your usual time. Do not take two tablets at once to make up for the missed one. If you vomited within 3-4 hours of taking the tablet, take another one.

• irregular bleeding or spotting
• mood changes like feeling low or irritable
• weight gain

Some drugs for epilepsy (like carbamazepine and phenytoin) and the antibiotic rifampicin (used for TB treatment) can reduce how well dienogest works. St. John's Wort (a herbal supplement) can also reduce its effectiveness. Always tell your doctor about any other medicines or herbs you are taking.

Store at room temperature below 30°C. Keep it away from direct sunlight, heat, and damp areas — avoid storing in bathrooms or kitchens. Keep out of the reach of children.
