What is this drug?

This is a combination medicine containing two blood pressure-lowering drugs — Telmisartan (which relaxes blood vessels by blocking a chemical called angiotensin) and Amlodipine (which relaxes blood vessels by reducing calcium entry into vessel walls). Together, they work in two different ways to bring your blood pressure down more effectively.

What is it used for?

High blood pressure (hypertension)reducing the risk of stroke and heart attack in people whose blood pressure is not well controlled by one drug alone
