Who is this for?
This is a combination medicine containing two blood pressure drugs — Amlodipine (which relaxes your blood vessels) and Lisinopril (which helps your body produce less of a chemical that tightens blood vessels) — so they work together to lower your blood pressure more effectively.
Blocks L-type voltage-gated calcium channels in vascular smooth muscle, causing vasodilation and reducing peripheral vascular resistance. Simultaneously inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), preventing angiotensin II formation and further promoting vasodilation while reducing aldosterone-mediated sodium and water retention.

Take one tablet once a day, at the same time each day. You can take it with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Your doctor will decide the right strength for you — a common combination is Amlodipine 5mg with Lisinopril 5mg (sold as Co-Dilopril Tablets 5mg in Nigeria). Do not stop taking it even if you feel fine, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as normal. Never take two tablets at once to make up for it.
Always buy from a registered pharmacy — not roadside sellers — and check that the pack says NAFDAC approved. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own because you feel fine; high blood pressure is a silent killer and needs daily treatment. Do not share your blood pressure medicine with others, even if they have similar symptoms, because the wrong dose can be dangerous.
Avoid taking potassium supplements or salt substitutes that contain potassium, as Lisinopril can raise potassium levels dangerously. NSAIDs like ibuprofen (Brufen) can reduce how well this medicine works and may harm your kidneys if used regularly. Alcohol can increase dizziness and make your blood pressure drop too low.

This medicine is NOT safe during pregnancy — Lisinopril can seriously harm or even kill an unborn baby, especially in the second and third trimesters — and you should consult your doctor before taking it while breastfeeding.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat — Nigerian weather can be very hot, so avoid leaving it near windows or in your car. Keep the tablets in their original pack and far away from children.
