How do you take Activated Charcoal?

For poisoning emergencies, the usual adult dose is 50 to 100 grams (mixed with water to form a slurry) taken by mouth as soon as possible after swallowing the poison. For gas and bloating, take 500mg to 1g (2 to 4 tablets of Ultracoal 250) after meals or when you feel bloated. Swallow with a full glass of water. It works best when taken within one hour of swallowing a harmful substance.
