When to see a doctor

Seek care if you notice any of the following

  • If you have a severe skin rash that covers most of your body and is accompanied by a high fever, go to your nearest clinic or hospital immediately.
  • If you notice that your skin is becoming increasingly itchy and sore, especially at night, and you have a history of scabies or lice infestation, go to your nearest clinic or hospital.
  • If you have a severe headache, muscle aches, or joint pains due to a scabies infestation, go to your nearest clinic or hospital.
  • If you notice that your skin is becoming infected with pus-filled bumps or sores, go to your nearest clinic or hospital.
  • If you have a persistent skin rash that lasts for more than two weeks after treatment, go to your nearest clinic or hospital.
